4.Are the bridge course class necessary? why?
Usually, NCT holds the bridge course in the first 15 days of the first semester to brush through the basics of maths, physics and chemistry that the students learnt in Plus One and Plus Two.
We teach students the basics of higher secondary mathematics, concentrating on differentiation and integration, which are a part of the foundation for engineering.
In teaching physics and chemistry the faculty tells the students that they better give up the learning-by-rote for that will be impossible in engineering.
The bridge course is also necessary to help students realise that engineering is all about application and therefore rote learning does not help course. We also help students who have had their Plus Two in Tamil move over to English medium of instruction setup and communicate better in the language.
